A trailblazing leader who has left an indelible legacy on the real estate sector domestically and abroad, Teresa King Kinney has an ability to produce results that’s second to none. Already this year, she has earned an FIABCI International Real Estate Federation Medal of Honor and the International Women’s Achievement Award from World Trade Center Miami. She was named among Swanepoel Power 200’s most powerful people in real estate, coming in at No.7 in organized real estate and No. 12 in top women executives. She also received Inman’s new MLS Reinvented Award.
King Kinney became chief executive officer of the Miami Association of Realtors in 1993. With fewer than 5,000 members at the time, it is now home to the largest, most active and most successful local real estate council with international impact. It boasts more than 61,000 current members and multiple top-10 rankings under King Kinney’s leadership. Her strategic initiatives transformed what was once a medium-size Realtor association into one of the most innovative and award-winning associations to ever exist.
Her efforts also included the award-winning Miami Global in 1996. The first local association to achieve National Association of Realtors Diamond Global Business status and become an eight-time Diamond winner, Miami Global has experienced a success underscored by King Kinney’s forward-driving innovative leadership. This international arm of the local association has created worldwide partnerships that bring significant investment to the city.
A noted speaker and consultant, King Kinney has spent the past three decades immersed in sharing her visionary expertise with other industry professionals and organizations. Now in her 31st year of association stewardship in Miami, she, along with her team, is creating history by building a global headquarters owned by the Miami Association of Realtors. The leading-edge facility will serve members with state-of-the-art technology, conferences, events, innovative classes and more.
