Surgical dental assistant. I was a mind reader for the dentist and patients who couldn’t talk mid-procedure.
Born and raised in South Florida. West Palm Beach.
I actually wanted to be a Realtor. I just didn’t know it yet. I loved to take drives with my parents and look at homes and wonder who lived there. Whats the inside look like? Whats their story?
First, I call my husband, Evan, and vent to him. He is my biggest support. Second, work out and go for a boat ride and hope to catch the sunset.
Henry Morrison Flagler. He discovered the potential of Palm Beach, where I have been lucky enough to have been born and raised, and now sell. I would love to pick his brain and chat about all the development since his time.
Although its no secret to most locals, one of my favorite spots includes the Loxahatchee River at Riverbend Park in Jupiter; Grab a kayak and some friends and spend the day paddling down the beautiful waters lined with Spanish Moss and cypress knees. Stop at what I call “The Wishing Tree” (and eat your Pub Sub on top of the fallen cypress tree), then paddle to the second dam where you may just see manatee (or a gator) enjoying the day. Don’t forget to explore Trapper Nelson’s home while you are there, he was known as “Tarzan of the Loxahatchee.”
Some homes stay with families for generations and to be able to hear those stories and some times see pictures of the transformation of the home and the families that have loved them over the years is so special.
I believe that most things happen for a reason, but the most difficult aspect of my job is when I feel like there was more I could have done to land my client a specific home. Sometimes negotiations go array and people can’t come to an agreement on how to move forward, so the search continues. Although, we do always find “the one” at the end of the day.
Talk, talk, talk. Whether it be chatting it up with your waitress, or the couple waiting next to you at the car wash (true story), make small talk, introduce yourself and find a common interest. They eventually ask what I do for a living, and most of the time ask for my business card. It may not be for them but maybe someone they know.
Lately I have been watching Emily In Paris. It allows me to dream of the day I get to visit the city. Also, Disney JR (all thanks to my 2.5 year old) #momlife
Definitely Florida lobster and stone crab during season, drive down to Islamorada for some of the freshest!
The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, a gilded aged mansion on Palm Beach. Such gorgeous and unique characteristics that we do not find too frequently in homes of our era.
I was able to watch the seller back a moving truck into the front of his house, right before the final walk through, causing extensive damage; and for some reason the home had more belongings in it than it previously did. Safe to say we postponed that closing.
(Thankfully) I hear that I am down to earth and more kind and relatable than people imagine. I try to live by just being a nice, and honest person.
I thoroughly loved Saint Lucia. The pristine waters, the sugar white AND volcanic grey sand and those stunning Pitons. Every local was so kind and the food was absolutely delicious.
Just keep on going.
Honestly, my friends and family. We don’t all live near each other so its nice to be able to follow along on how everyone is doing.
