What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Real estate is the only job I’ve had in my adult life!
Where did you grow up?
Fort Lauderdale and Weston.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
Veterinarian.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Go to the gym or go shopping.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Princess Diana because she was a classy and elegant philanthropist.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. You can walk to the beach and restaurants, and it’s not too crowded.
What do you love most about the industry?
Helping people achieve their goals.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Trying to figure out what clients really want and need vs. what they think they want.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Everyone you meet is a potential opportunity for a new lead. They may not be today, but they can be an opportunity down the road. Be real and be available to answer their questions. Helping someone is never a waste of time.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
Selling Sunset. It’s not an accurate depiction of the real estate industry, but it’s fun to see the beautiful houses, and they have great fashion!
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?
My Organic Corner in Weston.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?
One Thousand Museum.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
When I was selling a foreclosure, I walked into the house and they had abandoned all their pets, so I had to make arrangements to get the pets out safely.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m allergic to dogs. I’m such an animal lover and have four! I plan to retire somewhere where I can rescue hundreds of them.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Mexico. It’s a short and easy flight with lots of beautiful resorts where you can relax and enjoy the amenities on-site.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Stay focused and treat it like a full-time job.
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
Jen Selter and Kelsey Wells for fitness, Ali Budd Interiors for interior design and Emily Ann Gemma for fashion.
