NAR’s REALTORS® Relief Foundation offers grants to tornado victims

by Emily Mack

The REALTORS® Relief Foundation (RRF), a charitable, non-profit arm of the National Association of REALTORS®, has offered more than $1.6 million in disaster relief aid to help victims of recent tornadoes in Arkansas, Mississippi, Kansas and Oklahoma. The money was made available to local Realtor associations in those areas.

RRF awarded $1 million in grants to Arkansas REALTORS®, $500,000 in grants to Mississippi REALTORS®, $70,000 in grants to the Norman Board of REALTORS® and $40,000 in grants to the Southwest Kansas Board of REALTORS®. The funds will be used to assist with victims’ housing payments as recovery efforts continue.

“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these tornadoes,” RRF President Mike McGrew said in a press release. “The devastation caused by natural disasters can be overwhelming, but we hope RRF grants will provide some much-needed assistance as these communities rebuild.”
