Condo market heating up in Coral Gables

by Stacy Carchman

It’s not just Miami that’s seeing an influx of new residents since the onset of the pandemic — Coral Gables is also experiencing a boost in interested buyers from out of state, according to one local developer.

Cristo Brown, co-developer of the Coral Gables condominium community Giralda Place, tells South Florida Agent magazine that he’s seeing new buyers from Pinecrest and other parts of south Florida. “Our current residents are primarily empty nesters who seek the ease of a condo and are attracted to the boutique nature of the building for its privacy,” he said.

These days, buyers are looking for move-in ready units like those available at Giralda Place. “We offer residences that are turnkey, with custom interior design and furnishings by notable names, or move-in-ready with flooring, paint and baseboards already in place,” Cristo said.

“Coral Gables remains highly sought by families, as well as empty-nesters seeking a sophisticated environment with lush landscape, historic architecture and beautiful homes. We continue to see executives choose downtown Coral Gables as their corporate playground to reduce their commute and live near the office,” he added.
