Professional baseball player Asdrúbal Cabrera lists South Florida home for $8.9 million

by Kerrie Kennedy

Venezuelan-American professional baseball infielder Asdrúbal Cabrera has listed his newly completed custom South Florida home for $8.9 million.

The 7-bedroom, 9-bathroom and 2 half-bathroom contemporary estate offers more than 9,000 square-feet of living on approximately two acres.

Located at 17000 Stratford Court in the only gated community in Southwest Ranches in Broward County, the home was crafted by architecture firm Choeff Levy Fischman, designed by B+G Design and built by Rick Bell of Landmark Custom Homes. Features include a gym, wine cellar, home theater room, outdoor kitchen, pool, spa and marble deck.

Giselle Bonetti of Coldwell Banker Realty, who specializes working with clients in the sports and entertainment industry, has the listing.

“We thoroughly enjoyed helping to create this architectural masterpiece with the architect, builder and designer,” said Cabrera in a press release. “From the commanding main living space with glass walls to the opulent outdoors, featuring a marble pool deck perfect for grand parties – this home truly represents the best of South Florida living. With our priorities having shifted, our family is focused on an equestrian lifestyle, which is the reason we are parting with this stunning home. Our hope is that new owners will fall in love with the grandeur and high design that this showpiece home has to offer.”
