Real Tech: The Keyes Company and HomeLight launch new technology to help agents market and manage listings

by Juliet Jacques

Keyes forms partnership with 3D virtual tour company

The Keyes Family of Companies has announced a company-wide partnership with Matterport, a 3D capture and spatial data company.

The partnership will allow all 3,500 of Keyes’ agents to add virtual tours to their listings, allowing buyers to walk through properties safely and conveniently by viewing the listing from anywhere.

After scanning the property, Matterport’s platform creates photos and floor plans, as well as video tours which can then be added to listings, websites and social media. Agents can either schedule a scan of a listing by a local Matterport technician or scan the property themselves with a compatible iPhone or camera.

“Matterport 3D virtual tours give our customers the confidence they need to make one of the most important decisions they will ever make,” said The Keyes Company CEO Mike Pappas in a press release. “The richness of detail and information available in these 3D tours gives buyers assurance in their choice. Sellers appreciate the competitive edge virtual tours provide and the reduction of in-person walkthroughs of their home.”

HomeLight acquires new listing tech

Real estate technology platform HomeLight has acquired Disclosures.io, a provider of listings management technology that allows agents and brokerages to securely share property information, monitor buyer interest, and manage offers, all in one place.

The acquisition is part of HomeLight’s mission to make the transaction experience simpler: its other services include HomeLight Cash Offer and HomeLight Closing services.

“The past decade of innovation in our industry has been focused on how to easily find a home, said HomeLight CEO and Founder Drew Uher in a press release. “The next decade will undoubtedly be about the transaction and how real estate agents and their clients use technology to actually buy and sell property. Disclosures.io is on the leading edge of that movement. This is another step towards HomeLight powering the transactional platform of the future – one that goes far beyond just adding bells and whistles to the way people search for a home.”
