Luxury brand switches up C-suite

Premier Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed Budge Huskey as the company’s chief executive officer. Huskey’s appointment follows a three-year succession plan first announced when he joined the brokerage as president in 2016.

Huskey will oversee all of the operations and growth strategies of Naples-based Sotheby’s, the 34th largest real estate brokerage company in the country.  Formerly president and CEO at Coldwell Banker, Huskey has been ranked among the top 10 industry leaders in the annual Swanepoel Power 200 report and appears frequently on the Inman 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders list.

“It is truly an honor to lead such a renowned firm of more than 1,200 top professionals representing real estate’s most iconic brand,” Huskey said in a press release. “We will ensure our company’s continued growth while nurturing the unique culture and elevated standards which serve as the foundation of our success.”

Succeeding Huskey as president of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty is Nancy Nagy. Previously CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, where she orchestrated significant growth through mergers and acquisitions, Nagy will lead all sales operations at Sotheby’s.

Ranked on the Swanepoel Power 200 as one of the most powerful women executives in residential real estate, as well as earning a spot among Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2019 Notable Women Executives, Nagy has served on the board of the National Association of Realtors for many years.

“I am excited to be joining one of the most discerning luxury real estate brands and a talented leadership team with Budge Huskey at the helm. On a personal note, I am thrilled to be relocating to Naples — a place that has been a second home to my family and me for the past 45 years — and to also represent such great markets across the company’s dynamic footprint.”
