2019 Managing Broker of the Year: Anthony Askowitz, RE/MAX Advance Realty

by South Florida Agent

Anthony Askowitz
RE/MAX Advance Realty

As president and managing broker of RE/MAX Advance Realty, Anthony Askowitz directs the activities of his real estate professionals in the company’s Kendall and South Miami offices. Under his leadership, RE/MAX Advance Realty agents consistently outsell their competitors from the leading (and larger) Miami offices, often by wide margins. In 2018, RE/MAX Advance Realty generated more than $537 million in annual sales revenue, with approximately 1,600 total transaction sides. With more than 160 agents, the company established an estimated $3.3 million annual “per agent” sales average; far exceeding industry averages and continuing the company’s local dominance in per-agent production and efficiency. This extraordinary production was a major factor in Anthony being named the 2018 “Managing Broker of the Year” in Miami Agent Magazine’s Agents’ Choice Awards; a distinction he is honored to have won for the second year in a row.

Anthony credits this success to the RE/MAX global brand and an outstanding staff of 11 professionals, who provide administrative and marketing support to his agents. At less than 10%, RE/MAX Advance Realty claims one of the lowest (if not THE lowest) agent turnover rates in South Florida, where the average turnover rate is closer to 30%.

Anthony, a Miami native, is also an active and productive agent, consistently selling more than 120 properties a year. His position as a “non-competing selling broker” gives him a genuine understanding of the lives and challenges of working agents, and of the front lines of Miami’s dynamic real estate market. Among Miami’s leading offices, Anthony is the only broker who is also an active sales associate.

Anthony is a regular contributor to Inman News, where his monthly “Agent/Broker Perspective” column tackles both sides of hypothetical real estate situations, highlighting his expertise as both a working agent and managing broker. He regularly provides one-on-one coaching with his agents, and personally joins them on seller interviews in an effort to secure listings.

Finalists:

  • Mark Sadek – The Keyes Company
  • Seth Kaufman – ONE Sotheby’s International Realty
