As a director of Luxury Sales at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Marlene de Cespedes is a driving force in the real estate world. Though she has achieved immense professional success, she counts her three children as her greatest accomplishments. Born and raised in Chicago, the former competitive figure skater personally experienced resilience against defeat thanks to a chance encounter with a 11 year old cancer patient named Victoria. As de Cespedes got to know Victoria’s story, she became a warrior for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She currently lives in Brickell with her youngest son and one year old maltese, Teddy.
De Cespedes continually supports her community through volunteer work, including her current role as the 2019 Event Chair for the St. Jude Walk/Run To End Childhood Cancer in Miami which combines her love for children and helping end childhood cancer. She is entering her third year as event chair as well as event chair for Team Victoria for her company, Douglas Elliman. She also sits on the Elliman Shares committee for the third year within Douglas Elliman. Active within the broader real estate community as well, she dedicates her time to the Miami Association of Realtors and is serving her third term on the Board’s Grievance Committee.
