RelatedISG International Realty announced it acquired Coral Gables brokerage Caribe Homes Realty on June 28, adding the latter’s 10 brokers to its team. Caribe’s offices will also be consolidated into RelatedISG’s Coral Gables location.

RelatedISG is a partnership founded by the principals of Aventura-based International Sales Group as well as Jorge Perez of Miami’s The Related Group. According to the South Florida Business Journal, RelatedISG works with both new development projects and home resales, but is looking to bolster its resale business with the Caribe acquisition. In 2017, Caribe brokered $35 million in home sales, according to RelatedISG.

RelatedISG president Alex Vidal had strong praise in particular for Caribe broker Jorge Fernandez, who will be joining the RelatedISG team following the acquisition.

“Jorge Fernandez is a superior broker, who is an involved leader in the Miami market as well as various local real estate organizations,” Vidal said. “His strength is in a region we haven’t explored yet, so we’re excited to join forces and take our businesses to the next level.”
