HousingWire, one of the nation’s most influential and most-read source of news and information covering the multi-trillion dollar U.S. housing and mortgage market, has named Agent Publishing’s co-founder and publisher Marci Sepulveda one of the 2014 Influential Women in Housing, a prestigious nationwide list.

HousingWire sets a very high bar for choosing those who qualify for this award. Four years ago, HousingWire set out to bring more attention to the key role that women leaders play in the male-dominated world of mortgage finance by creating the Influential Women in Housing award. The award focuses on contributions made in the most recent 12 months and honors women who are making notable contributions to both their business and to the industry at large.

“Influential Women in Housing is a special and unique program for us at HousingWire, and I’m proud of the fact that we were the first major industry publication to institute a program like this,” said Paul Jackson, CEO and publisher of HousingWire. “This annual list has become something of a gold standard in the industry, given the high standards we’ve put into place for selecting each of our honorees.”

HousingWire receives hundreds of nominations for this annual list that spotlights 30 women leaders. Past notable Influential Women in Housing have included Janet Yellen and Maxine Waters; this year’s winners include Susan Allen, the vice president of product management/mortgage analytics at Corelogic; Amy Bohutinsky, the chief marketing officer for Zillow; and Laurie Hawkes, the president, chief operating officer and member of the board of directors for American Residential Properties.

“I am honored to be among this prestigious group of women in housing who are so influential,” Sepulveda said of the recognition. “I am proud that Agent Publishing has been recognized among this powerful group.”
