According to a massive study from CareerBliss, real estate agents are the happiest professionals on the planet.
Real estate agents may have dealt with a tough economy the last couple years, but that’s done little to quell their enthusiasm for their profession!
According to a new study by CareerBliss, the real estate agent profession is the happiest job in the country with a “Bliss score” of 4.26 out of a possible 5.
Happy Real Estate Agents
As CareerBliss explained in an article on Forbes, real estate agents are not only content with their bosses, but extremely satisfied with the freedom and independence that the real estate professional allows.
Heidi Golledge, the chief executive of CareerBliss, added that the recovering housing market also played a big role for the agents they sampled in their surveys.
“Real estate agents have definitely weathered quite a financial storm over the past few years but right now rates are between 2 percent and 3 percent and inventory is low, making it a real estate agents dream as new homes hit the market and are getting multiple offers in the first week,” she said. “Right now, it is a seller’s market so the real estate agent’s cost of advertising and marketing is very low and commissions are high. Happy times.”
And the real estate industry is no stranger to positive press; the latest survey by WorkPlace Dynamics ranked real estate as the best industry to work in.
CareerBliss Methodology
For its study, CareerBliss analyzed more than 65,000 employee-generated reviews from last year. The reviews asked employees to rate their job satisfaction using 10 factors: their relationship with their boss and co-workers; work environment; job resources; compensation; growth opportunities; company culture; company reputation; daily tasks; and control over their daily workload. Respondents rated each factor on a five-point scale, and the numbers were averaged for each profession.
