Confronted with a growing tax debt, rapper Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known best as Lil Wayne, has listed his Miami Beach mansion on La Gorce Island for $12.9 million.
According to TheBoomBox.com, ‘Weezy’ purchased the home last year for $14 million. The 15,000-plus sq ft home features 9-bedrooms, 9-full bathrooms, and a 2-story master suite with its own glass elevator. Faced with over $5 million in unpaid federal income taxes, though, “Weezy” has listed the home for a slight loss, at $12.9 million.
Lil Wayne’s tax problems began in back in 2004, says realestate.aol.com. He accrued one million in back taxes between 2007 and then, but listed a separate Miami-area mansion to pay the debt. This year, though, $3,351,078 owed from 2008 and $2,258,956 from 2009 come to a grand total of $5,610,034.
