In what is known as one of the college’s most important celebrations, Miami Dade College (MDC) honored some of its most outstanding alumni, including Luis Revuelta, founder of Revuelta, Vega and Leon, P.A., at its sixth annual Alumni Hall of Fame Gala at Jungle Island in Miami. Nearly 900 guests, including the 23 honorees and their families, corporate sponsors, distinguished guests, MDC faculty and staff, attended the event, which raised more than $600,000 for the Alumni Student Scholarship Fund.
According to President Dr. Eduardo J. Padron, who is also an MDC alumnus, The Alumni Student Scholarship Fund is a major source of funding and support for MDC students.
During the ceremony, each of the honorees was introduced via a three-minute video clip where they discussed their professional roles and personal inspirations, as well as their formative years at MDC.
