Brickell Financial Centre Signs Bilzin Sumberg

by admin

Brickell Financial Centre signed the law firm of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP to a 10-year lease in its phase one tower. Bilzin Sumberg’s 115,000-square-foot lease marks a 30,000-square-foot expansion for the firm, taking up more than 15 percent of Brickell Financial Centre’s first tower. The deal is the largest lease agreement signed in the downtown Miami/Brickell office market this year. Out of the three newly launched high-rise office projects in Miami’s greater downtown, Brickell Financial Centre was the last to start construction and the first to sign a major lease.

Danet Linares, senior vice president and director of real estate services for Foram Group, handled the transaction on behalf of the landlord. Barbara Liberatore Black and Matthew Goodman of CRESA Partners represented the tenant. Janis Cheezem of Akerman Senterfitt was the attorney representing the landlord in this transaction and John Kuhn from Bilzin Sumberg represented the law firm.

Recognized as the largest mixed-use green development in Florida, the 1,500,000-square-foot, two-phase project is bringing more than 1,000,000 square feet of Class A office space, a five-star hotel, more than 30,000 square feet of high-end retail and a large, newly-landscaped plaza to Miami’s financial corridor.
