What was your first job in the realty industry?
I was a sales assistant at West Bay Club near Naples, Fla., in 1998. They liked my enthusiasm and that I speak German and Spanish since, at that time, they were starting to get more and more foreign buyers.
Who inspires you and why?
My father for his work ethic, can-do attitude and optimism. My mother for her long-term thinking and concern for others.
What is your favorite free-time activity?
My favorite is spending time with friends and family. My most frequent leisure activities are running and weight training.
How did you learn the business?
Through years of hard work, dedication, long hours and two amazing mentors.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
“King Kong”

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami?
Aesthetically, Espirito Santo on Brickell, as it is gorgeous, sleek and sexy. To live in, Il Villaggio on South Beach, as the architect, Luis Revuelta, is one of my favorites. All his buildings maximize the square footage through intelligent layouts. The balconies are also quite generous, and the residences have amazing views.
What kind of car do you drive?
A black Cadillac CTS
BlackBerry, Palm or paper, and why?
Currently, a laptop with wireless Internet that is with me at all times. It is portable, and I can readily pull up loads of information and share with others, with its easy-to-see screen.
What is your favorite city after Miami?
Even with its brutal winters, Chicago. The architecture there is superb, and there are great restaurants and nice people. I also grew up nearby.
What is your personal motto?
Never, ever give up.

Have a positive attitude and dedication, be a good listener and have fun.
