Jackie Lee Sylvester is celebrated as the founder of Amrofni New Homes, the first Black woman-owned luxury real estate brokerage specializing in new construction. “Representation of individuals like myself in this niche is indeed rare,” she shares. “It’s gratifying to feel both welcomed and valued.”
Sylvester leverages her exclusive professional network and 16 years of real estate experience to secure high-end new homes, including those that are unlisted, before they become available to the broader market. Her expertise spans the rapidly growing luxury new-homes sector, and her portfolio includes a platinum collection of $2M+, a diamond collection of $10M+ and a black collection of $20M+. She serves clients from Palm Beach to South Beach, with a spotlight on Fort Lauderdale. “I match the world’s most extraordinary buyers with the world’s most extraordinary builders,” she notes, considering herself more of a matchmaker than a broker.
A member of the ForbesBLK global community, Sylvester actively participates in business and social clubs that foster connection, collaboration and empowerment. She served on the leadership board of the Miami Association of Realtors Broward Young Professionals Network from 2017 to 2020 and as state director for Florida Realtors in 2019 and 2020 before shifting focus to growth and expansion. “In the past year, my biggest professional accomplishment was learning how to leverage AI to enhance our concierge service and operational efficiency,” she says. “This transition allows me to innovate within my industry and align my professional endeavors with my personal well-being.”
A supporter of the Thomas W. McCormick Scholarship Fund and the Pembroke Lakes Optimist Club, Sylvester plans to further her philanthropic efforts by donating 8% of each commission check this year to various nonprofits and charities throughout Broward County. Her commitment to giving back highlights her dedication to making a positive impact in her community.
