Jim Giacone’s journey into the mortgage industry began with a disappointing experience during his first home purchase in the late 1980s. Giacone watched in dismay as his rate went from the low 7s to over 10% by the time of closing. His loan officer was never available to help or give any guidance during that process. This encounter served as a catalyst for Giacone, fueling his determination to streamline and enhance the lending process.
Leveraging his engineering background and financial expertise, Giacone embarked on a mission to create a better process for the borrower using his knowledge of scaling and creating a process from the grass roots. “We learned how to take an idea and put it into work, which is what we do when we are working with clients,” he explains. Giacone views the mortgage process as akin to assembling a complex puzzle. “Part of the mortgage process is being able to put all the pieces of each individual client’s situation together and mold them into a beautiful final puzzle or picture. This is how we ensure a smooth and simple process for each client,” he observes.
Now, after more than three decades as a mortgage lender, Giacone finds his enthusiasm for working with borrowers and real estate agents hasn’t waned. His clients describe him as dependable, always putting their needs before his own and always delivering and following through on his commitments. They appreciate that he does more than just answer questions; he is in their corner helping to ensure they make the best decision for their circumstances.
Giacone’s performance has earned him recognition as one of the top 1% of loan originators nationwide since 2018, as per Scotsman Guide magazine, and as a President’s Club award winner at Guaranteed Rate since 2013. He attributes much of his success to the unwavering support of his team and staff at the Palm Beach Gardens office, acknowledging their indispensable role in his achievements.
