One name stands out in South Florida real estate, bringing with it a rich family legacy and a passion for the local community — Eric Broad. With more than 12 years of experience in the field, Broad considers real estate to be a family affair. His family’s involvement in real estate began in 1972 when his grandfather, Meyer Kotler, opened the office. Now, as the third broker in the company’s 52-year history, Broad continues the legacy, following in the footsteps of his favorite aunt and grandfather. “I have always known that this is what I wanted to do,” he says. “I love real estate.”
His childhood was immersed in real estate, with time spent shadowing his mother and grandfather on property listings and showings. “I have been around real estate my entire life,” he shares. “I learned an incredible amount during that time.” He stepped into the role of broker in January 2023, noting, “When my aunt asked me to become the third broker in the 52-year history of the office, it was a no-brainer for me.”
As a people person “with a gift for gab,” says Broad, “I use that gift of gab and my people-person personality every day in the real estate world.” His clients consistently praise his patience and easygoing nature.
In addition to his real estate commitments, Broad is deeply involved in philanthropy and community service. He plays an active role in Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach, serving on the board of trustees, co-chairing the temple brotherhood and leading the security committee. “I also stay involved locally,” he adds, “by attending local events, especially council meetings and planning and zoning meetings.”
As the torchbearer of a 52-year family legacy, Broad continues to shape the future of M. Kotler Real Estate with a commitment to excellence, teamwork and genuine care for his clients.
