Michael Murgatroy, branch manager and vice president of mortgage lending at Guaranteed Rate, has over two decades of experience in the industry. “If you do what’s right for the consumer, you’ll be in high demand and business will continue to come and find you,” he says.

Specializing in residential mortgage lending, including FHA and jumbo loans, Murgatroy assists first-time buyers, veterans, move-up buyers and investors. He is licensed in over 40 states, enabling him to find creative solutions for clients with properties around the country. With a consultative and highly transparent approach, Murgatroy works tirelessly to analyze his clients’ finances, needs and expectations in order to present them with appropriate options.

“The mortgage lending process has often been depicted as shrouded in mystery,” he says. “I work to establish a high-level trust with my clients and treat them like family. Time and again they’ll say I helped them get a mortgage when no one else could. It’s not that I have a secret formula, it’s that I’m willing to take the time to interview, research and suggest various options. I’ll work with clients for weeks, sometimes months, to attain the desired results.”
