What was your first job in the realty industry?
My first job in real estate was mentoring with a broker-associate friend at Coldwell Banker on Miami Beach. It was primarily administrative work, although I did have a few listings of my own.
Who inspires you and why?
There are two types of people who inspire me: those who set high goals and persevere to achieve those goals, and people who take charge to improve their lives rather than sit around, do nothing and complain.
What is your favorite free-time activity?
Hanging out at home with my fiancée, Neil, and our English bulldog, Barlow, while catching up on reading. I enjoy visiting museums, as well as the Rubell and Margulies Collections. Also, I like going to the gym and training with my personal trainer.
How did you learn the business?
Buying and selling my own property
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
I can’t remember the last movie I saw in the theater; it’s been a while! I do enjoy watching movies with Ben Stiller or Jack Black on cable. The most recent book I read was “Press Play: Contemporary Artists in Conversation.”
What is your favorite restaurant?
I have two: Joe Allen on Miami Beach and W Wine Bistro in the Design District.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami?
My house; I love the Craftsman style architecture, and it’s a tranquil home. I think the renovations to the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin building are terrific, as well as the redesign of the Rubell Collection.
What kind of car do you drive?
Oh, please; it’s a reliable vehicle with requisite air conditioning and satellite radio.
BlackBerry, Palm or paper, and why?
Blackberry, hands down; I need constant access to my email so I can respond immediately to clients and business associates. I love my Blackberry.
What is your favorite city after Miami?
It’s a tie between New York and San Francisco.
What is your personal motto?
Follow through, follow through and follow through.

Mentor with someone. Take classes at the Realtor Association.
