Reebok’s Salter family sells Miami Beach home to brand developer for $40 million

by John Yellig

The Salter family, which owns Authentic Brands Group, the parent of Reebok, Juicy Couture and David Beckham, recently sold a newly built Miami Beach home to Ideavillage Products Founder and CEO Anand Khubani for $40 million.

The custom home was built to showcase Authentic Luxury Group’s new Barneys New York Home collection, which will launch later this year. Slim Keskes, creative director of Barneys Home, handled interior design, while Kobi Karp was the architect.

Cyril Matz of Douglas Elliman represented the seller, while Evan Weiss of 305 Degrees Realty represented Khubani. Khubani, whose company Ideavillage is an omni-channel brand-developer, paid $100 million for a La Gorce Island assemblage last year.

The property, which sits on a 30,800-square-foot lot at 5970 North Bay Road, offers 100 feet of water frontage. Outdoor amenities include two pools, one facing the water and another facing east on the second floor.

Inside, the 14,520-square-foot home offers six bedrooms, two staff rooms, a home office, movie theater, wellness center, wine room, game room and rooftop with elevator access.

“This property was built as a custom home, not a spec home, so the materials and finishes were done at the highest possible level. They did not cut any corners,” Matz said in a press release. “Inventory is extremely limited on North Bay Road, and this was the only home available of this caliber that was brand new construction, turnkey and had never been lived in.”
