Janet Moore, an agent in Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Clearwater office, recently hosted her sixth annual Lunar New Year celebration at the China Yuan restaurant in Tampa.
The event was held to usher in the Year of the Dragon and celebrate Tampa’s growing Asian community. Guests included friends, family, clients and fellow Sotheby’s International team members, all of whom were treated to a banquet-style meal of traditional Chinese dishes, including pan-fried dumplings, Mongolian beef, salt and pepper fish, sesame dessert and a Chinese New Year cake.
Attendees received custom-made red envelopes and enjoyed a traditional lion-dance performance, fireworks and the symbolic gift of fresh oranges for luck, prosperity and longevity.
“This celebration is an opportunity for neighbors and friends to embrace the diversity that makes Tampa Bay so special,” Moore said in a press release. “I’m dedicated to welcoming newcomers with genuine care, bridging cultural gaps and providing a warm, personalized real estate experience. In my world, it’s about fostering connections, ensuring every resident feels at home from Day 1.”
