The recent $17 million sale of a penthouse in the luxury La Maré Bay Harbor condominium development has set a new record for the most expensive property sale in Bay Harbor Islands, where the previous record was $12.5 million.
The sales team was led by Darin Tansey and Christopher Wands of Douglas Elliman. New development expert Alice Troyanovsky acted on behalf of the developer in the transaction, while Ruthie Assouline, Ethan Assouline and Eytan Namiech of The Assouline Team at Douglas Elliman represented the buyer, who was not identified but described as a domestic party.
Located at 9927 E Bay Harbor Drive, the 8,000-square-foot waterfront penthouse features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, 10-foot ceilings and a 4,000-square-foot private rooftop terrace with pool and summer kitchen. It is located in the Regency Collection of residences, one of three, mid-rise towers that will comprise La Maré Bay Harbor. The others are called the Signature Collection and the Bay Collection. Community amenities include a fitness center, spa, waterfront infinity pool and private marina access.
“This is a monumental sale for Bay Harbor Islands and further solidifies the area as a prime destination for luxury living,” said Ruthie Assouline. “Today’s buyers are increasingly seeking properties that provide an experience — one that prioritizes space, privacy, exquisite finishes and a sense of community in a highly desirable waterfront location. La Maré Bay Harbor delivers all of these qualities, and it’s clear that the market is responding to this exceptional development.”
