Lawrence S. Cohan and Adan Fons, principals of BCArchitects, a full-service architectural firm with offices in Coral Gables and Celebration, Florida, recently received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have the knowledge and skills to successfully pilot the LEED certification process.

Cohan, who founded BCArchitects in 1991, has over 30 years of experience in the industry and continues to play an active role in operations of the firm’s offices. His knowledge includes a concentration on constructability, building code and life safety requirements and product specifications.

During his 12-year career, Fons has been involved in the architectural design of several types of projects including hospitality, mixed-use, retail and residential. His experience with BCA includes work on high-profile developments, including Seven Shores, North Olive Place, Rio, Laguna Del Mar and Regency Condado.
