Corcoran Group brings in BHHS managing broker to run South Florida offices

by John Yellig

The Corcoran Group recently appointed Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS) Florida Realty Managing Broker Marcia van Zyl as senior managing director of South Florida.

In her new role, van Zyl will work with Managing Director Kerry Warwick to support agents across the firm’s high-performing Delray Beach/Gulfstream, Hobe Sound, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach offices.

“I am truly honored to begin this new chapter with Corcoran, a dynamic company rooted in the timeless values of service, integrity, market expertise and neighborhood fluency,” van Zyl said. “This new position is an incredible opportunity, and I’m eagerly anticipating the chance to infuse my passion and dedication into our team’s collective mission.”

At BHHS, van Zyl oversaw the firm’s Fort Lauderdale and Plantation offices. While there, she was recognized for boosting the offices’ growth through strategic recruitment, brand management and developing high-performing real estate agents, Corcoran said in its announcement.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was named Corcoran’s regional vice president, downtown Manhattan, in October 2021, will expand his portfolio to South Florida as the new regional vice president, downtown Manhattan and Palm Beaches.

“Ryan has done an amazing job driving business results for downtown Manhattan, and with his deep understanding of the Palm Beach market, I am excited for him to add this important region to his purview,” Corcoran President and CEO Pamela Liebman said. “Not only is he a trusted advisor to our agents, he’s also a true collaborator. I’m confident that his expertise will have a huge impact in South Florida.”
