Elysee Condo Structural Design Approved by the FAA

by Lolita Thomas

ElyseeThe Federal Aviation Administration has approved designs for Elysee Residences, a condominium tower in every sense. The 57-story, 649 feet tall structure will be a three-tiered telescoping shape with only two units per floor. This allows residents to have a direct view of the bay and city. Elysee is expected to be the tallest residential high-rise in East Edgewater.

“We are pleased that Elysee’s proposed 649-foot building height complies with the FAA’s requirements for safe and efficient use of navigable airspace in Miami,” said Reid Boren, partner at Two Roads Development. “We appreciate the ongoing efforts of Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami, the Miami Downtown Development Authority, and others who have coordinated local and federal planning and height regulations so that this project and other similar towers can grow the downtown Miami skyline and promote the economic development of South Florida.”

The building will have 100 units, which will include three to five bedrooms, duplexes and penthouse suites. France’s leading designer, Jean-Louis Deniot, is hired to design the amenities and common area space. Currently, preconstruction prices range from $1.65 million to over $10 million. Groundbreaking will begin in 2016 and construction is anticipated to be complete by 2018.
