Compass names Miltiadis Kastanis as South Florida’s new-development sales director

by Jason Porterfield

Compass has named Miltiadis Kastanis as director of new development sales for South Florida.

The move represents a return for Kastanis, who launched his career at Compass in Miami Beach in 2014. He then spent several years as a top agent at Douglas Elliman, where he produced more than $300 million in total sales volume in Florida’s ultra-luxury sector since 2023 and was among the top 1% of agents companywide.

“Returning to Compass is both a homecoming and an evolution,” Kastanis said. “This firm pioneered a transformative approach to luxury real estate, and I am thrilled to bring my expertise back to a platform that seamlessly blends innovation, strategy and an uncompromising commitment to excellence. With Compass’ cutting-edge technology and leadership, I look forward to elevating the client experience and shaping the future of high-end real estate.”

Kastanis has been named to the Top 100 Agents in Florida by America’s Best Real Estate Professionals Real Trends + Tom Ferry. His transactions portfolio includes penthouse sales at The Ritz Carlton Residences, Sunny Isles Beach; Five Park Miami Beach; and Groves at Grand Bay. He was pivotal to sales of developments such as David Martin’s Eighty Seven Park by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Alex Sapir’s ARTE Surfside by Antonio Citterio and Steve Witkoff’s The Shore Club: Private Collection by Robert A.M. Stern.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Miltiadis back to Compass,” Compass Founder and CEO Robert Reffkin said. “His extensive experience in new development and luxury real estate makes him an invaluable asset to our team. We look forward to seeing him thrive and continue to set new standards of excellence in the industry.”
