Drew Backoff and David Cooke join Douglas Elliman

Drew Backoff has rejoined Douglas Elliman as the vice president of marketing, new development. Backoff served as senior director of marketing for the company from 2012 to 2016.

Additionally, David Cooke joins the company as a sales associate.

In Backoff’s new role, he will lead strategic marketing efforts for The Delmore in Surfside, a new luxury condominium project by DAMAC. He has over a decade of experience in luxury real estate marketing, specializing in brand positioning, integrated campaigns and strategic partnerships.

In addition to his four previous years at Douglas Elliman, Backoff spent seven years as a senior leader at Compass Development Marketing Group. There, he shaped marketing strategies for high-profile residential development projects.

Cooke, meanwhile, joins Douglas Elliman’s Palm Beach office at 340 Royal Poinciana Way. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Cooke leads The Heirloom group there. Now, as a sales associate in Palm Beach, he plans to expand his Virgina business.

Cooke has over 20 years of real estate experience and launched and sold multiple businesses before entering that industry. He’s also a real estate investor himself and prides himself on educating and providing support to clients.
