What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Hospitality sales and multi-level marketing! I really believe that both of these shaped my understanding of our market, the development of the city, as well as how to effectively understand people’s varying motivations.
Where did you grow up?
Born and raised in Miami.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I was always infatuated with all things interior design and architecture.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I am someone who loves variety and finds motivation in experiences, so I enjoy trying different sports/workout classes and taking mini vacations when time allows.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I’ve never given this thought, but I think I would say Candace Owens. Beliefs aside, I respect the way that as a woman she is unafraid to openly think critically and publicly face controversy. I love how unapologetic she is, and I would love to pick her brain.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?
I’m not sure how much of a secret it is, but I personally love Juno Beach and the Jupiter area for a quiet, seaside retreat.
What do you love most about the industry?
I love its infinite potential, the idea of being a part of a milestone in someone’s life, and that you can align yourself/join forces with industry professionals that share your values.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Time management and work/life balance when you are juggling multiple clients! Most clients are available after work and on weekends, so finding the balance as a mom and someone in a relationship is at times a challenge.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Meet people where they are, and step into their mind/shoes. Not everyone is ready right away and that’s OK. Keep the door open with everyone you come in contact with so that when the time is right, you come to mind. Every person you meet or know is a lead. Our role as Realtors is to align ourselves with THEIR goals, and steer them in the right direction.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I just finished Tell me Lies and Nobody wants This. They’re both phenomenal shows! Typically though, you can catch me watching any and all crime documentaries across all the streaming apps.
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?
I really enjoy a Venezuelan breakfast, but for dinner, I love to try new restaurants. Asian/Thai food is definitely my favorite.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?
Working in hospitality, I was fortunate enough to visit so many different properties. The first one that comes to mind is the Four Seasons in Surfside. The original building is Mediterranean Revival. I quite literally gasped when I entered.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I once had a scammer pretending to be a buyer. Once I realized it was fraud, I blocked him, and he proceeded to find me on all my platforms. The oddest of them was my Yelp account. He was persistent.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I am overly organized. I say “overly” because some of it may be unnecessary. All of the cabinets in my home, including my TV console and bathroom cupboard, have storage bins and dividers. The items in my fridge are neatly aligned and facing forward. Basically, everything in my home needs a home.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Any island! My favorite vacation is any destination where I can immerse myself in the culture. Rent a scooter, follow the locals, stray from the crowds. Islands are great for this.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Lean into your personality, and showcase your individuality.
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
Foodies! I really do need variety in my life, so I am constantly on the hunt for healthy, fun recipes for the family. I also love to save a good couple’s prank that I can try at home.
