COMPASS NYC managing director joins Fort Lauderdale office

by John Yellig

Tony Oakley, a sales manager and senior managing director at COMPASS’s office on the Upper West Side of New York, has transferred to the brokerage’s recently expanded Fort Lauderdale location on Las Olas Boulevard, where he will also serve as sales manager.

He was previously COMPASS’s New York broker of record and led six new developments in Manhattan, where he sold hundreds of apartments, townhouses and buildings.

“Building teams of lawyers, lenders, inspectors and contractors is just the start of a successful transaction, but is essential for every buyer or seller,” Oakley said. “Realistic expectations must be conveyed from the very start and through the entirety of each project.”

Before joining COMPASS in 2017, Oakley worked at Halstead Property, where he was promoted from associate broker to executive director of sales. Before that, he was an associate broker at The Corcoran Group for more than 11 years, and before that he worked for Douglas Elliman.

Prior to real estate, Oakley performed on Broadway.
