Zuleika Gonzalez Realtor and mobile notary signing agent

Ancona Real Estate Inc.

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I have two. Working at WSVN Channel 7 in the sales department during the turn of the millenium and inbound sales for the premium brand of RCCL Celebrity Cruises at the Port of Miami.
Where did you grow up?
Kendall
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I have always loved criminology and real estate, so a lawyer or a Realtor.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Work out, cook or garden.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Carl Sagan because of his show Cosmos. I absolutely love anything space-related.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?
The Kampong Botanical Garden in Coconut Grove
What do you love most about the industry?
Helping people. Nothing is more gratifying to me than seeing their smiles and energy at the closing table. Knowing that I was part of finding their dream home, selling it or assisting in their investment purchase makes me all smiles.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
My fellow colleagues that don’t know what they’re doing or clients that are not educated well and make the process more difficult than what it should be. I always try and educate them but some just don’t want to listen.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Consistent mailers to your farm area, calling your database or popping up in their inboxes weekly.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
Yellowstone, The Four Agreements and The Seven Levels of Communication.
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?
Chicken paquitos from Paquitos Mexican Restaurant.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?
One Museum by the great Zaha Hadid.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Holding The Rock’s huge stack of keys when he would come work out at the Spinelli gym I used to work at in West Kendall.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
That I’ve been an active Realtor for almost two decades.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Italy. The food, wine, its people and its history. In the U.S., by far New Orleans. The food and culture is awesome. It’s history too is just mind blowing. Love its character and all the music it provides. Southern hospitality.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Work smart not hard, never give up or stop learning.
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
My Broker Peter Ancona, Go Husky Iceland and Moon Omens.
What are your social media handles?
