Naples Mayor Teresa Lee Heitmann recently declared Feb. 7 as Patrick O’Connor Day in honor of O’Connor’s contributions to the community.
O’Connor has been a Naples resident since 1994 and is a top-producing agent at Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Park Shore office.
O’Connor’s community service can be seen in his “tireless” volunteer work, as well as his support of local organizations and nonprofits, Premier Sotheby’s said in a press release, noting the Naples Daily News recognized him as the 2016 Collier [County] Citizen of the Year.
Among O’Connor’s philanthropic activities are volunteering in NCH’s emergency room, organizing Santa’s Workshop, serving on the executive board of the Collier 100 Club, supporting Leadership Collier programs and serving numerous terms on the board of The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and as chair of the Do the Right Thing program.
“Serving my community has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on this great city,” O’Connor said. “This serves as a reminder of the importance of giving back, and I look forward to continuing to work together to make Naples an even better place for all its residents.”
