Seven master-planned communities in South Florida were recognized by RCLCO Real Estate Consulting’s Mid-2023 Sales Top 50, with Lakewood Ranch earning a spot in the top three.
The real estate consulting firm’s ranking summarizes master-planned communities based on year-to-date sales. Lakewood Ranch in Sarasota ranked at No. 2, with 1,227 sales so far in 2023.
Not far behind was Babcock Ranch — the Punta Gorda community posted 490 sales this year, up 16% from 2022. That put the Kitson and Partners development at No. 8.
Additional South Florida MPCs on the list were Wellen Park, which ranked at No. 13 with 430 sales; Ave Maria, which ranked at No. 20 with 355 sales; Westlake, which ranked at No. 24 with 329 sales; Riverland, which ranked at No. 26 with 326 sales; and Tradition, which ranked at No. 28 with 306 sales.
Sales in Florida master-planned communities made up 41% of all MPC sales in the first half of 2023.
