by Patrick Regan

Two Florida teams and two individuals cracked the top three in various categories in the 2022 RealTrends + Tom Ferry “The Thousand” rankings.

The list recognizes the top 0.065% of more than 1.6 million licensed Realtors in the country.

The Jills Zeder Group was named the No. 1 large team in the country based on volume. The group, with offices in Coral Gables and Miami Beach and affiliated with Coldwell Banker, did $2.25 billion in sales volume in 2021.

“Year over year, The Jills Zeder Group not only sets the bar for the industry standard of excellence, but they surpass their own benchmark. The team’s ingenuity, dedication to client service, extreme market intelligence and fierce business acumen has resulted in another outstanding recognition this year,” Coldwell Banker CEO Ryan Gorman said in a news release. “It is a true privilege to have the opportunity to serve this top-performing, legendary team as part of Coldwell Banker.”

The Robert Slack Team was No. 3 in the country among Mega Teams for total transactions. The firm, with offices across much of Florida, had 6,443 closed transactions last year.

Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate in Palm Beach was the No. 2 agent nationally for sales volume.

Ralph Harvey, based in Boynton Beach, was the No. 2 agent nationally for transaction sides.

Some of the highlights of this year’s analysis, based on 2021 sales, are:

  • The top agents averaged 241.2 transaction sides and $253.8 million in sales volume, up from 211 sides and $213.2 million the previous year.
  • Small teams of one to five agents closed more transactions than medium teams of six to 10 agents or large teams of 11-20.
  • More than 96% of the 13,600 individual agents and more than 94% of the 10,200 teams that cracked the rankings are linked to well-known national or regional brands.
