What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

This is the only thing I have ever done… Started at 18.

Where did you grow up?

Richmond, Virginia.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

A chef.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Flying aircraft, boating.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Michael Jackson. He shocked the world with his talents.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

The Intracoastal… Where else can you get on your boat from your home and go to dinner and have hundreds to pick from?

What do you love most about the industry?

Helping people find the right home for their boat and the luxury market. It is ultra-competitive and it takes an art.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

The unprofessional agents down here; setting up showings is a job in itself.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Get out and meet people. It’s the only way it’s done. Real estate is a proactive sport. You have to touch people.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Anything inspirational and writing my own books. Check out my book, and I would love to do a story just on my story.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

Well, any Floridian will say stone crab. I am still the king crab guy. I love a good raw bar too.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

It’s not built yet, but I think the new Waldorf in Miami is going to be it.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I have had to stop buyers coming for a walkthrough to remove a dead body from the home on the day of closing.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I get up very very early LOL.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

I love the islands, anywhere in the Caribbean, I’m down to go. You have to do it local style. I would rather stay at a local place and feel the culture.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Get a coach. Period!!!!

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

I love Leslie Jordan. I just need a good laugh once in a while.
