NFL star snags $5.85M waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale

by Lindsey Wells

Fort Lauderdale recently became home to NFL star Joey Bosa, a defensive end for the Los Angeles Chargers. Bosa purchased a luxurious waterfront estate for $5.85 million, according to a report from Realtor.com.

The listing agent, Tim Elmes with Compass, noted that the property is easy to maintain. “There’s not an acre of lawn to mow,” he said.

The 5,482-square-foot home boasts a “comfortable feel” and features an open layout and a variety of entertainment options.

The home is equipped with two working kitchens. “The main kitchen is spectacular,” Elmes said. “But behind that, next to the garage, there’s a complete room with a full fridge, stove and storage.”

Floating wood and glass stairs lead upstairs to five bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms.

The home’s outdoor amenities include a lap pool, outdoor kitchen and fire table.

“No doubt [Bosa’s] real estate agent helped him get a nice price for the home, given that it was Cheryl Bosa with Engel & Völkers Fort Lauderdale — who just happens to be the NFL star’s mom,” according to Realtor.com.

Elmes noted that both of Cheryl Bosa’s sons are NFL players, and their father was also an NFL player. Joey’s brother, Nick, plays for the San Francisco 49ers, and their father, John, played for the Miami Dolphins.
