What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I was a professional baseball player, personal trainer, a valet in college and I also worked in construction and roofing.
Where did you grow up? I was born in Miami, but I grew up in the Dominican Republic. I moved back to South Florida when I was 12 and lived there up until I went to college in Tennessee. I’ve also lived in New York, California and Chicago.
Growing up, what did you want to be? Professional baseball player – I still utilize that same team mentality.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Any chance I get, I love to spend my free time with family.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Cornelius Vanderbilt. He was a business icon. It would have been cool to sit down and have a conversation with him.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret? Redfish by Chef Adrianne in Matheson Hammock Park.
What do you love most about the industry? Dealing with people. I’m a people person and in real estate you’re exposed to a lot of different personalities every day. I love being able to help people with my expertise in the market.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Time. I’m usually out for most of the day and wish I had more time to spend with family.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Don’t be a “secret agent”. Get out there and get in front of people.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? For reading, my team and I recently started a book club. We’re currently reading Asking Questions The Sandler Way By Antonio Garrido.
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida? One of my go to spots for Greek and Mediterranean food is Estiatorio Milos on Miami Beach.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida? Grove at Grand Bay by Bjarke Ingels. I love the design, location and the views from the building. It really is an architectural masterpiece that raised the bar for new development and luxury living in the area.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? I was at a property for a showing and a dog chased after me – I had to jump a fence!
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you? I’m really a homebody. I’m always out and talking to people but I’m happiest at home with my family.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why? Greece. The weather and beaches are beautiful and the culture and the people are so welcoming.
