3 agent website must-haves from the best in the business

by James McClister

3. Bring the meat

Spritz Web Solutions recently wrote in an article outlining the attributes of a good website that “along with style, your site must have substance.” For a real estate agent, that substance, the meat, is the content you publish alongside your listings. Looking at the website of Climb Real Estate, the No. 1 neighborhood site in 2015, we see a lot of the features present in other winning sites (i.e. simplicity and organization) but we also see a peppering of helpful content, including agent profiles and guides to both local builders and neighborhoods.

In its neighborhood guide, Climb breaks down areas not by simple stats or home characteristics, but rather by more relatable categories: hipster, park access, gentrifying, commuter friendly, etc.

The content isn’t particularly text heavy (in fact it’s rather light) but it gives visitors quick bits of useful information that help answer buyer questions before they even think to ask them. The content is easy to read and well organized, making the website a useful source of information for consumers.
