The Naples-Immokalee-Marco Island area has the highest well-being in the country, according to a new analysis by Gallup and Healthways.
For its analysis, Gallup assigned areas with a well-being score, and the Naples area had the highest well-being index score across 190 communities. Naples’ ranking is a considerable improvement from its No. 7 position in 2012-2013.

The rankings were based on more than 353,000 interviews with adults in the U.S. across all 50 states, conducted through Jan. 2., 2014, through Dec. 30, 2015. The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index is calculated on a scale from 0-100, with zero representing the lowest possible well-being and 100 the highest.
The index scores for the communities were composed of five elements of well being, which were: purpose, social, financial, community and physical.
