Ben Moss was recently named the managing director for ONE Sotheby’s International Realty’s brand new sports and entertainment division, which will serve high-profile athletes, celebrities and public figures. The department is the first of its kind in South Florida, and will be spearheaded by Moss, who has more than 10 years of experience in luxury real estate. Moss will be making his transition from Campins Luxury Real Estate, which he co-founded in 2004 and closed this June, to his new position at ONE Sotheby’s, where he will be able to devote more time to selling. Daniel de la Vega, president of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty said, “Ben is the ideal leader to oversee this division, as he understands the unique needs and privacy surrounding these discerning individuals, and how to approach the strategic and often long-term decisions in the real estate market that are in the best interest of the client.”
After working in the luxury market for just over a decade, Moss has refined his expertise in luxury real estate, marketing and logistics. Not only will he bring his knowledge and skill set to the premier luxury real estate brokerage in South Florida, but also his long-lasting relationships with his clients. Moss has assisted more than 350 high-profile clients in his career thus far and has closed more than $500 million in sales and leases. He believes that relationships are the key to success in this business.
“The Deal Never Stops.”
Moss has an incomparable understanding to his clients’ needs and wants. He recognizes the challenges that his clients face on a day-to-day basis and understands the lifestyle needs of each individual athlete or entertainer he represents. In dealing with high-profile celebrities whose confidentiality and privacy are of utmost importance, it is necessary for Moss to ensure that he is providing his clients with superior customer service—not only from start to finish, but even once a transaction is complete. Due to the type of clients he deals with, who are often second time buyers with him or referrals, Moss has to constantly be available for quick responses and decision-making. With his dynamic roster of clients, “the deal never stops,” as Moss put it.
Moss is driven by his passion and love for his business. “I love what I do and that’s why I continue focusing on this niche—it’s gratifying work,” he said. He works with the main goal in mind to provide his clients with exceptional advice from what to purchase or lease to financial decisions. Oftentimes, his clients have more than one property in different parts of the country and Moss’ job is to maintain stress-free and successful transactions. He is often coordinating with two or three additional parties aside from his client—team managers, celebrity agents, etc.—and it is important to keep everyone on the same page. “The customer service level with high-profile athletes and entertainers revolves around quarterbacking my clients’ realty positions,” Moss said.
His relationships with other brokers and agents are also kept at Moss’ high priority. Half of his business lies in South Florida, with the second half across the country. Moss says that connecting with other brokers has helped build his luxury business to where it stands today. He enjoys sharing marketing strategies and other ideas with agents from all over the nation. Collaboration with other brokers is something he is keen on maintaining. Moss understands that by managing these relationships, he can pair clients with trusted brokers in other cities. At ONE Sotheby’s, Moss will have all the tools he needs to maintain and grow past relationships with clients and agents alike, while also developing new ones.
“I am thrilled to have joined ONE Sotheby’s International Realty to lead this division and grow our firm as the premier brokerage for those in the sports and entertainment industries,” said Moss. “This union allows me to deliver even greater lifestyles and properties to my clients, not just in South Florida, but anywhere in the world, especially through the Sotheby’s International Realty network.”
