RE/MAX Advance Realty (RMA), Miami’s largest RE/MAX office, has successfully recruited the KARE Team of agents from Keller Williams Realty Coral Gables – Coconut Grove. The KARE Team, made up of agents David Kurz, Betty Aguiar and Sandra Metrakos, was the No. 2 team at their previous firm before leaving in December to join RMA’s South Miami office.
“We are delighted to welcome this extraordinary team of professionals to the RE/MAX family,” said Anthony Askowitz, broker/owner of RMA. “It takes incredible courage and confidence to give up being ‘a big fish in a small pond’ to join an office where you are not yet in the top ten. That demonstrates real ambition and drive, which I find inspiring. David and his team are going to add tremendous value to the entire RE/MAX network.”
“Besides the fact that we’ll generate more sales and revenue with RE/MAX, the company’s worldwide brand-name recognition was a major factor in our decision to join,” says KARE team leader Kurz, who intends to double the team’s business. “When I used to sit down with prospective clients, I would have to explain for 10 to 20 minutes who our former company was, instead of concentrating on what I do and what my team does. But millions of people around the world already know the RE/MAX name and the iconic RE/MAX balloon.”
Kurz highlighted RE/MAX’s strong global network as another motivation for joining the firm. “Miami is an international hotspot, and I felt like we didn’t have nearly as many foreign clients as we should have. The fact that we’re now in 90-plus countries is a huge advantage for us. Now, we can push out properties to both buyers and sellers from other countries who already know the brand.”
