Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors member, Tom Salomone, was elected the National Association of Realtors first vice president for 2014, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Tom Salomone, a broker with Real Estate II Inc. in Coral Springs, was elected to the office during NAR’s Midyear Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo that ended Saturday in Washington, D.C. His term begins at the conclusion of NAR’s fall convention.

“The real estate industry faces unprecedented challenges right now, from federal threats to the mortgage interest deduction to impending regulations that could strengthen – or weaken – the housing market,” says Salomone. “I am extremely grateful to the Realtors who voted for me, and I promise to fight diligently for the American dream, and for all Realtors who make that dream possible.”

“No one ever wins an office without help and support,” Salomone says. “I’d like to thank the Realtors and staff who worked alongside me. I look forward to continuing our work together as we strive to make ownership a reality for every American who dreams about a home of their own.”
