Realtor.com attracted a record 50 million unique users in Jan. 2016, according to a new report from the website OPP.Today.
The website’s number of users has been steadily increasing over the years, with a 40 percent growth in 2015. The site’s latest increases in user growth follows News Corp’s acquisition of realtor.com’s parent company, Move Inc., in 2014.
The chief executive officer of Move Inc., Ryan O’hara, attributes the company’s success to the simplicity at which realtor.com users can access listings in the process of buying or selling a home.
“Our primary focus is to simplify the process of buying and selling a home, one of the biggest financial decisions most people will ever make,” O’hara said. “That means ensuring that realtor.com is the trusted source when it comes to providing consumers with the information and expertise they need.”
