Penthouse Sells for Highest MLS Recorded Price-per-Square-Foot

by admin

At nearly $1,020 per square foot, the $3.25 million sale of the Jade Ocean penthouse set the bar high for properties in Sunny Isles Beach, as the highest ever MLS-recorded-price-per-square-foot home; sold by MC2, the 44th and 45th floor home boasts panoramic ocean views, three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a private fingerprint-access elevator, floor-to-ceiling glass, and a loft-style open floor plan.

The condominium was sold in less than a month fully furnished to a Russian buyer for nearly $1 million more than the seller initially paid six months earlier.

“The market is definitely heating up right now,” said Vice President of MC2 Realty, Marie-Charlotte Piro in a press release. “We’re seeing a surge of interest from international buyers who appreciate the South Florida climate and lifestyle as well as the potential of appreciation in real estate values going forward. And, of course, ‘location, location, location’ is still the real estate mantra, with waterfront properties commanding better prices and moving at a quicker pace.”

The property, designed by architect Carlos Ott, is complete with a six-story waterfall, and a grand lobby designed by Fendi Casa. Other amenities such as five-star concierge service, unique sunrise and sunset infinity pools, a private beach club, a state-of-the-art fitness center, world-class spa, private screening room and entertainment facilities complete the package.
