As the state of Florida recently received $1 billion from the federal government to keep families in their homes through the “Hardest Hit” program, Senator Bill Nelson wants to get the plan into action.

According to weblogs.sun-sentinal.com, other states like Michigan also received federal money and has already put it to use. On Wednesday Senator Nelson wrote a letter to Gov. Rick Scott, asking what the hold up is with the program.

“Every day the state waits, people are losing their homes,” Nelson said in a statement, according to sun-sentinal.com.
