The Realtors Commercial Alliance of MIAMI (RCA MIAMI) in partnership with WorldCity will host ‘Panama Canal Expansion: A South Florida Economic & Real Estate Opportunity’ on Friday, February 18.

Rodolfo Sabonge, vice-president, Office of Market Research and Analysis, Panama Canal Authority, will headline the event and highlight the continuing progress of the canal’s expansion and its impact on the Port of Miami, its strategic business partner and closest U.S. port. Featured speakers include John Carver, executive vice president Port, Airport & Global Infrastructure, Jones Lang LaSalle; Bill Johnson, director, Miami Port Authority; Robert Cruz, chief economist, Miami-Dade County; and Ken Roberts CEO, WorldCity.
Attendees will also learn how the Port of Miami is preparing for the increased cargo and flow of goods that will result from the canal expansion.
‘Panama Canal Expansion: A South Florida Economic & Real Estate Opportunity’ will take place at the Biltmore Hotel – 1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables, Fla, 33134 – from 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon on Friday, February 18. Presenters will discuss the unique advantages Miami’s port has compared to others around the country, guaranteeing the local area captures the new business generated by the expansion.
