Why Real Estate Agents in South Florida Need International Savvy

By Teresa King Kinney, CEO, Realtor Association of Greater Miami and The Beaches

It is common knowledge that the South Florida real estate market has long benefited from its unique position as an international destination and gateway. The Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches (RAMB), however, takes this one step further in its belief that Realtors need a strong international education in order to make the most of their prime positioning.

For this reason, RAMB partners with real estate associations worldwide to open avenues to more business and facilitates the participation of its members in important international events. RAMB believes it is vital for South Florida Realtors to establish links and cooperation agreements for investment with strong markets worldwide in order to capitalize on the area’s international prominence and excellent market conditions.

RAMB’s exclusive International Referral Network of Partner Associations links its members’ MLS to over 150,000 real estate professionals around the world. Its international partners include associations in Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and gateway cities in the United States.

Through these alliances, RAMB and its members generate billions of dollars in business with U.S. and foreign investors and have achieved export success and results in the services sector in many foreign markets. The U.S. Commercial Service has recognized RAMB’s export success in 2003 and 2005.

These are some of RAMB’s upcoming events to increase business results:
