Sean Schiefler

Sean Schiefler
Senior Vice President of Business Development
Engel & Völkers

Sean Schiefler has never been one to take shortcuts or cut corners, and as the new Senior Vice President of Business Development at Engel & Völkers, he showcases his tenacity and consistent work ethic on a daily basis. Attending to broker/owners of both independent or franchised residential firms — as well as high-volume teams and agents seeking to break away from their existing companies while maintaining partnership with a global brand — Schiefler harnesses his 12 years of real estate experience to provide high-quality service to clients who expect nothing less than the best. “I’m very proud to have accomplished a position with Engel & Völkers in South Florida,” he says. “I plan to continue changing lives of brokers, agents and consumers that are touched by this brand.”

As the former Director of Development for Realogy Holdings, the parent company of major national real estate brands, Schiefler expanded the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand, helping new license partners increase their growth by sales volume through conducting market research and orchestrating mergers and acquisitions or joint ventures with other culturally aligned companies in the marketplace. “For more than 10 years, I have been surrounded by the most brilliant minds in real estate and development,” he says. “I’m endlessly curious and ask a million questions. I have had many mentors and like to think I have learned from the brightest.”

Schiefler grew up immersed in the automotive industry, starting at his family’s manufacturing firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at a young age and continuing on through college, before switching to a career in real estate in 2006. “Due to my upbringing, I am a natural engineer and architect,” he says, noting that he’s not a standard real estate development expert, nor a stereotypical salesperson. “People will like you if you’re being yourself,” he says. “Let your companies brand, reputation, tools, systems and services do the selling. I like to build trust, friendships and business networks regardless of whether a client wants to work with us.”

An active member of the community, Schiefler serves on the committee for Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Foundation and participated in the non-profit organization’s Up Next program to strengthen his leadership abilities. He is a passionate boater and traveler and hopes to obtain his pilot’s license and U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s license in the near future.
